using the iwata is a whole new experience. like nothing before. thanks to hub it was an easier transition. i was a dinosaur still using jga'a.

Shine got mine today and it is not what is supposed to be... Trying to get out of this deal now... bought it off ebay and it is a lph 400 body, but the air cap and tip are not like the ones I have read about... I even emailed the guy and asked about the parts and he assured me they were what I ask him about... "Identical" was his exact wording when he replied... I am having a hard time staying calm... Called my credit card company and they have already processed the money.... Im gonna freak out

if you remeber a while back i said something about the iwata clones and got bit. gun snob is how i thingk it was put. iwata is trying to do something about it but people just flock to it. the tip is the give away. iwata has a tulip shape. be sure to let hub know about it. sorry you got burned.

Yes I have a W400 clone... but I knew it was a clone from day one... I posted at the forum and am waiting to see what Hub has to say bout it.... win some lose some in life

Majestic Mudman, what did you pay for the gun? If it was way cheap you might just want to try it as it may spray base just fine. The LPH-400 is selling for $360 locally. Bob

Sorry for your screwing BK but that "might" turn out to be a better deal than you thought. SOme of the knockoff's are good guns.
I'm kinda PO'd YOU didn't ask US about this beforehand.
Several of us have recently purchased the LPH-400 as you know,and WE know the REAL deal bro.

BTW. Noticed that Sata is NOT selling online?

They have pulled ALL their line from the web. NO more web sales for Sata.
They figure the "representation" of their product is being maligned as well as service after the sale.

I figure their local sales are WAY down and the dealers are *****in' cause they can't rob YOU blind locally. I get a good deal from my supplier but most are paying WAY too much for their guns,so they go elsewhere. Mainly online so it's came to a stop.
Sad IMO as lot of people WILL pay too much for one if that's what they want.
I bought a Sata MiniJet 3 SR today for CHEAP thru my guy and I'll say this...
SWEET GUN... Gotta love an 8" fan from a mini.
I wanted a LPH-100 but the side feed cup don't really "work" for me.

After a phone conversation with me threatening to drive to this guys house and stomp on him till his eye balls pop out...and a stern email, the seller has agreed to refund my money in exchange for the merchandise back.. I will be sending it back this morning and looking to procure the correct gun later next week from a jobber that will sell me the right gig...

BTW Mike I paid 275 for that thing...NOt something worth keeping if it is not what it is supposed to be... also I posted at the Iwata forum in hope that hub could identify the authenticity of the gun... he has yet to respond...

I will have my LPH400 hopefully before the end of the month

my first experience with clones was in the early 80's. what i found was they are made with scrape. the air passages will corrode and then clog up the air cap. i'm not about to risk a clear job for 100 bucks in savings. and there is no way that pos is going to spray like an iwata. glad your getting your money back. now buy a pro gun and strut a little hell i sleep with my iwata'a under my pillow.

That is you in your avatar! Glad to hear you got your money back, $275 is a lot of money. I could do a lot of stomping for that kind of dough.

I paid a little over $400 dollars for my IWATA localy but I can walk into the store and talk to the guy who sold it to me. I have yet to use the thing because of the weather, or maybe because it just looks so good hanging there with the rest of my tools that I am afraid maybe I might get paint on it

Is it possible that you bought the older version of the LPH 400? They list a few different style tipsets.

Bloverby you are correct... It was the older version that they used to sell, not the newer one that I was assured I was buying from the seller..I was not sure what exactly was the deal, and it was cleared up today at the Iwata forum as it was an Iwata, just the old one...
