I am having an LPH400 shipped to me, right now I am using a W400LV which is similar but compliant not HVLP. When I was getting the "wavy" look I found that choking the material down to about a 3 turns out range helped a lot. Spraying closer with these guns seems to work well too. Are you measuring your air pressure at the gun with a full trigger pull? Sometimes high solids clears can benefit from some extra air pressure, even though it would be over and above mfr. specs.
