the number on the bottom is a forging number. JE will soon be laser marking part numbers on new pistons to make future identification easier.

If they're older chances are they won't have any info on them. I have a 30 year old (brand new) set in the hemi in my truck and when I called J&E they had nothing on them because they were more than 20 years old. I think their record keeping in the early days left a lot to be desired.

Good luck finding the info.
