Jaguar Rear End

I am going to be rebuilding a 1989 Jaguar XJS rear end. Before I order a new differential i need to clarify a few things. I have read that a Dana 44 or a Dana 35 will work with a special mounting kit and a different coupler for the driveshaft. I called Randys Rack and Pinion and they said there are a bunch of variations in the Jaguar units that make a Dana 44 tricky. Can anyone help?

I posted a question about a jag rear end also...at least I got one response. Seems that they are not as popular as they used to be, I guess from the response or lack there of. Good luck on your project.
