Jeep Door Handle

Hey fellas ,

I need the cover plate for the ACME hardtop driver-side door handle open thingy mechanism. as i was installing the new door handles, "adjusting" it (lol) the top upper corner of the cast iron plate broke off. I've already been to the wreckers, dealers, and the whole nine yards, looked for it on the net somewhat, and can't find it. Anyone know where i could get a hold on a unicorn here

thanx guyz

xtacy

ps. how do i set up a foto album

thx

Probably a dealer item....if you can't find one at a wreckers. You will probably have to buy the whole handle.

Speaking of those handles, you notice that the CJ jeep handles are a lot like the old AMC door handles on Gremlins, Hornets etc. Where did those funny looking handles come from?

Well, as some people know, the AMC corporation also owned Kelvinator...a refrigerator company................Dont those handles look like fridge handles?......sure do.......................
