Water in distributor, coil, plug wires etc dry it all out and move on. I don't ever spray wd40 in distributors, it causes fouling down the road.

After an engine pressure wash, it cost me a throttle position sensor(TPS) - and I was dumb enough to do it twice. It also cost a coolant temp. sensor. You need to get a code reader plugged in to the car 'puter to tell you where you '$crewed up', not do the $hotgun approach.

First check to see if check engine light comes on when you turn the key on. If it does not you have lost power or ground to the computer. First check the fuse for the PCM. If okay unplug the Throttle postion sensor or the map sensor to see if you get a referance voltage with a digital ohm meter. This comes straight from the computer if you don't have any voltage there then you have a short in the harness or the computer is not any good. If you do have voltage then check the crank position sensor or the camshaft position sensor. If these have voltage then check the O2 sensors. Please in the future do not put water in the engine compartment.
