A Job Not To Do!

Change the hearer core in a Chevy Van! I bought a 93 G20 Chevy conversion van. The Van had hit a deer and needed a a little TLC to make it right. The entire frontend needed to come off, grill was broken , radiator was damaged and the fan shroud was distroyed. The dash had to come out to get to the heater core and that was the easy part. They shop wanted $300 labor to do the heater core replacement so I did the job myself and bought some more tools instead of paying them to do the job.

The same principle applies whether it is myself or my 6 year old son.

If we learn something new, AND possibly get a new tool out of it, BONUS.

If we save money while doing the new task, BIGGER BONUS.

Justifying the do-it-yourself attitude by getting it done right the first time at a fraction of the possible cost is more than priceless.

I try to work with the attitude that there is nothing I cannot do just because I didn't try, except one- and that's why I got married because it's pretty impossible to have kids without the little lady.
