Post John

I have a 350 chevy engine, possibly 1976 carburated with edelbrock intake. My question is where do I get a bracket to move the alternator to the right side to allow the a/c to be mounted on the left making it easier? Thanks

John, I'm sure there were some chevy's that mounted on the right side. What I do know is that pre 69' motors used two brackets on the right side, because the heads did not have the predrilled bolt holes in them. The adjustment or top bracket that bolted into a bolt hole in the intake manifold and the bottom bracket that bolted up to the exhaust manifold. If this bracket will work, you could most likely find it at any aftermarket dealer.

good luck, hope this helped.

Check out a pic of my truck at the site below. You can find a similar bracket out of any early 80's car/truck that will work just fine. http://home.talkcity.com/SparkplugSt/gimmeyourmoney/underbonnet.jpg
