I put BB on my 51F1 close to 3 years ago and have suffered a few marks in the bed and fenders. I keep a couple cans of JDBB on the shelf and I just spray over any marks. I love the stuff and it has worked great for me. I would like to hear a little more about your using the clear in it. Was it a gloss or flattening clear, what brand or product was it, and how much did you use. I thought about using some but was worried it wouldn't work.

Yes I used the hardner and the thinner they sell at the Dealer, reading the threads here, I was afraid to start any expermaintation for fear I would have a real mess. It was getting at the last of summer and I wanted to throw something on it besides primer. Seems like after I finished the Rat Rod look took off and now my truck fits right in.

blitz black

Barry which business have you been in ? Aircraft or automotive. Have you ever had skydrol in your eyes? ************************************************ Everyone is looking for a cheaper way to paint a car because the price of paint is going through the roof. Wait till 2011 When The EPA shuts down selling paint to the average joe. None of us will be painting. So till then let everyone share ideas and have fun. **************************************

I think this horse has been beaten to death for long enough so I'm closing this thread. If you have any questions about flat black paint after reading all the posts in this thread check the article at the following link:

John Deere Blitz Black Paint

The information in the article has been reviewed and approved by Valspar paint, the manufacturer of JDBB.
