Jon, thank you for dealing with LS1Lover both fairly (giving him the warning) and quickly. Great site and it is a shame to see one person consume so much bandwidth and create so much controversy.

Jon, I too am tired of his filth and nonsense. I have a suggestion you may or may not have thought about. A lot of sites require an applicant to press agree or do not agree with the guidelines set forth. If you do not agree then your application to brouse or post is not granted. I really don't want it to come down to that but it is a way to control the board more efficiently. To make sure that the guidelines were in fact read and not just press the agree key, ask a question or two from the text maybe the middle or 3/4 way through.

You are doing a phenominal job on this site, my thanks to you.

Al

Thank you, Jon. Ls1 and 73 nova guy seemed to be suspiciously the same in style. Just another suggestion, I know you don't like censorship but I think some of these offensive posts should disappear forever, no sense in giving the fools a chance to show other foolish friends and getting more of the same type of senseless posting. Just my 2c. Dan

Jon, just read a post where a member is leaving the site because of this Ls1 and others. This needs to stop. You are much more educated than i, about the in`s and out`s of these computers, but these guys are gonna screw up a great site, if they are allowed to . I think that is all some of them desire is to cause the termol, and get people excited. Had a brother in law like that once. He didn`t last!!!!

Jon,
Just one other suggestion and I believe someone else might have already suggested it would be to go back thru and delete all postings that had anything to do with LS1. Even the responses that we as members made should be deleted along with it. If some other newbie shows up and starts reading thru and sees the postings in the manner that they were it just might be fuel to the fire to see how many buttons they can push also. Every posting that he had anything to do with probably didn't amount to much anyhow so either delete the whole topic or just edit all one hundred and some of his topics and replies. I just hope it wasn't someone from this site trying to pull some crap which it could have very well been. Either using someone elses computer or over at a bud's house trying to start something. Never know and shame on me for thinking that.

Kevin

I am considering deleting all of his posts. However, this is an irreversible move, and leaving those posts up there could potentially be very beneficial.

When I'm done gathering evidence, and things have cooled down a bit, I think we'll be able to figure out what to do with those posts. This situation is too emotionally charged right now for us to make a rational decision.

I couldn't agree with you guys more. I'm relatively new to this forum and have really enjoyed scrolling through the help topics and the Q&A section - I've learned a lot here and have tried to contribute some, with my somewhat limited knowledge on most threads. Going into this thing, I've been sidetracked once or twice, by the posters being discussed here in this thread. I've been guilty, a time or two, of being opinionated myself and on occasion, I've even cussed a few well deserving recipients.

To the serious Rodders here, I apologize if I've offended anyone of you in the process...

Lately I've spent a lot of time at the dump attempting to teach a little sense to the senseless... I've found, this to be a lot like mud wrestling with a pig -- after a few bouts I've realized it's a waste of time, the pig enjoys it.

Now that I've pulled myself out of the mud and cleaned up, I think I can get back to the business at hand here that is, Vintage American Iron.

Thanks for the wake up call Y'all.. I just knew I'd find some intelligent life here. Jon, you may beam me up now.

Thanks Guys

x2. Telling me "you dont want to know" makes me want to know more. I'm the guy who you tell "don't hit that button". Well, I'll be thinking "why" so I'll try it out and hit that button.

And yea I'm the guy who touches the plates the waitress says are hot just to see if they really are that hot. Sometimes they aren't, sometimes they are.

A 4 year old thread brought back to life. Is this a new record?
