Capped the open ends of the roll at the top of the firewall. Finished the curved ends for the cowl cover. I am really pleased with the result. I guess a year invested trying to get this right was time well spent.
Mounted the hood sides to check the alignment with the cowl cover and trimmed the cowl cover ends to fit. I'll close the ends of the cowl cover with some angled pieces that will cover the bolts that attach the hood sides to the body. I found a curve that almost matches the cowl cover on a bent Malibu door from the scrap pile.
Tacked in the new firewall today. The cowl cover needs some work to fit to the firewall properly as the firewall ended up a little closer to the windshield than I had expected. All was going well until I decided to slice my finger with the cutting wheel on the grinder. Maybe it will feel better tomorrow.
