I visited my local used auto parts store today. I like this store because they remove certain parts and have a large warehouse to store the parts they've removed. The counter guy allowed me to search through the shelves of glass for quarter windows that would match the cardboard pattern I'd brought. I found windows for an 84 Cougar. They are within an inch of being the same height as the black weather stripping for the chopped Malibu windows. They also match the curvature of the Malibu glass.

I had purchased a 55 Chevy gauge cluster a couple of years ago. It's a little more rounded at the top than is the 57 cluster, but I had intended to ditch the chrome bezel and to only use the glass anyhow.

Picked up a well-weathered 57 Chevy dash at the Houston Autorama swap meet for $20. It's just about two inches too narrow; I can widen it when I patch the speaker hole.

I had to move one of the hood arches forward to make room for the hinge bracket. Now, it is lower than the rest. I'll have to make a replacement if I can't raise the arch enough.

One of the recent photos appeared to show a nut on one of the hinge brackets to be higher than the hood skin will be. I had checked the height before tacking the bracket in place, but it doesn't hurt to confirm. The bolts will be 5/16 x 5/8 with a lock washer.
