11-26-2016 08:00 PM Where it came from and how I got there - a short Summary
WOW!! I just went back and looked at my first post!!! I started this thing back in Jan 2005!!!

Its been in process so long that I wasn't able to login to the site until I updated my password and email address.

My original intent was a custom 1936 Chevy Master 2 door Sedan. You will see that I achieved that goal with the body mods. Some mods were drastic like the front end with all the changes to the shape, headlights, grill and grill shell, the hood ornament and all chrome pieces were removed but the shape was retained. Another drastic change was the rear fenders which were widened by 4 inches to accommodate the new tire and wheel combo. The external door hinges were removed, the rest of the body was smoothed door handles and hood latches removed, new gas door, rolled tail pan with integrated tail lights.

The only fiber glass on this car are the rear fenders. Everything else is steel, may not be the original but it is all steel.

As many of you guys may know, this is the last Chevy wood framed car. 95% of the wood was removed and replaced with steel frame. The only wood remaining was surrounding the side rear windows. It was in good shape after 80 years, so I left it alone. Besides it chewed up a number of drill bits and saw blades, so I gave up :-)

When I have time, I'll explain the paint job and the reasons for the graphics layout.

11-26-2016 07:41 PM Interior Cont'd
You may notice that the original interior plan changed somewhat. After a couple of years thinking about it, I left the decisions to the people that know what they are doing and how to do it.

Yeah, I was in deep and realized the limits of my capability. I had the vision but not the skills to complement all the other work done to date. So I sucked up my pride and reached out to the professionals to save my butt.

I will follow these latest posts with some other changes that were made to the original design. So stay tuned and I hope you enjoy the almost finished product.

07-17-2011 06:22 PM Back in the saddle again - almost
Well it has been quite sometime since I posted anything. It has not been from lack of interest.
After falling ill just about a year ago, I just had my new hi-perf part installed. Just went thru heart transplant surgery and hope to be back on the project soon. I left off doing the wiring and since being laid up I have some new interior ideas. So stay tuned...
