09-05-2007 04:06 PM Rear Seat Bottom
The rear seat bottom fits the back of the car as far as width. Height is another story.

The back of the seat bottom had to be cut down, as you can see in these shots. The reason for this was that the seat back was pushed up too high and blocked the rear window.

The foam was removed and the seat cushion frame was cut down the the level where the seat back would be below the rear window.

09-05-2007 03:58 PM Finishing up the paint work on the seats
Here are the finished pieces. I used Plasti-Kote Plastic spray paint but I'm sure any of the new plastic paint will work.

09-05-2007 03:57 PM Continuing the work on the Seats
While I'm waiting for the body work to be finished I decided to move on to the seats to prep them for the upholsterer.

The first shot is what I had to start with after taking the front buckets apart. All plastic pieces were prepped with light sanding with scotch pads and cleaned with a good de-greaser. Remember not to sand to heavy our you'll wind up with smooth spots. You just want to give the pieces a light sanding to give the paint something to stick to.

08-09-2007 05:38 PM More Front Fender and Hood
The second shot shows the completed clip install on the passenger side. The driver side work is progressing.

Next will be to blend both sides with body filler to create a smooth transition from the fender up under the hood and set the gaps.

The work on driver side was started. Fiber glassing and body work to create a nice gap between the fender and hood when the hood is closed.
