Got the switch hooked up and adjusted,
even tested with battery.
Found extra wire hooked to rt. turn signal
and no place to put it. Oddly enough
rt turn sigal doesn't work. Back to the drawing board.
Brakes & lft. signal work didn't even blow any fuses.
Chicago won at home, while I was waiting in line at the dump.
Got to go during the week.

05-17-2014 07:33 PM Do I look distracted?
Great stuff going on today
New York tought those french Canadians a lesson and California
Chrome won the second leg of the tripple crown. Didn't see any horses
that would stop a tripple crown.
Looks like some bad wrecks at the drag strip
but I had to get to work-
oh ya through in a trip to the hardware store for a 1/8 ips X 3/8 ips bushing.
Got the temp sender put in with the tail down in the flow, cut the top
off the bushing and rethreaded it. And the wire reached, from the chebby
Gauges and tac. hooked up inside, only thing left in the pilot compart,
the brake light switch.
Hooked up battery and turned on the key- NO BLOWN FUSES.
Bracket for coil showed up-fed-x saturday.

05-16-2014 05:32 PM Four post relay
Spent the day going over the engine bay, 95% done. (thats
a bit optimistic)
Finally got the starter relay figured out,
with a little help from the folks who know.
Not sure it'll work but there were no sparks at the neg. to battery.
Also realized why the ford relay didn't work on the chev starter,
it has to be used as a relay not a solenoid. All that time I spent last fall
no one mentioned that, that I recall.
Checked dist. static timing one last time and bolted up the valve covers.
Tomorrow back under dash, three gauges and a shift light to plug in.
That should do it for the inside. Coil bracket coming tomorrow,
got the H2O temp sending unit this pm.

05-15-2014 07:52 PM fuse links
got some fuse links in
and found I need the remote solenoid for starter.
Just took it off the fender well yesterday.
Have a reoccurring nightmare, my boots will
catch fire the first time I fire this up.
That red rag on the steering column works
didn't bash my fore head once today.

05-14-2014 07:20 PM Wiring and painting
Every time I do one or the other, I swear
I'll never do it again.
I wired a relay to the acc. fuse block
one to the tail lights
one to the dimmer switch lead.
I'm going to redo the horn relay also.
Under this dash is a nightmare, but I'm
going to get this thing running and enjoy it a while
before I go for a wiring harness.
I've got two gauges and the break light switch to
go and the inside is done, can put the steering
wheel back on. I've got three or four nots on my
forehead from whacking that steering colum.
You think a guy would learn.
