Had to remove the mech. fan for space.
Electric fan not hooked up yet.
It ran about the same, maybe a little cooler on the road.
Got up to 180 in traffic, back down moving.
Think I'll put another temp sensor on the front of the manifold
to check diff-- can't have too many gauges!!!!!
Bit the bullet, got a AFCO/made for 49-54 chev. rad.
Didn't want to hack up the metal in front to fit the Mustang rad.
Of course it not a direct fit, one inch thicker.
Have to run an electric fan. Guess I wont make the drags sunday.
Not such a good go at the track.
Nice weather but cool greasy track and no top end.
Tried main jets two sizes up, killed it off the line.
Buddy says too small air cleaner, starving top end.
Put the big K&N on today and down two jets on main and one on secondary's.
Hot lap the freeway, pulled till the front end got loose.
Speaking of that, crossed the timing strip at 100mph on the speedo-- time slip read 89 mph.
Guess I'm full of it.
Also added some wet water, but still running about 190, up to 210 in drive through.
Might need a shroud on fan/more fan blades. Last pass car got hot before staging
and dogged it.
Tired of fighting the rear drivers side door
