Was going to plug the cam in and plastic guage the crank.
Noooo, had the cam out cleaning it. Noticed the light reflection
looked funny. There's flat spots on the tip of the lobes.
Like the grinder stopped too long, or maybe the blank
was too small to grind this profile. Anyway it's in the mail
going back and a Ford E303 will replace it. Same lift *2 less duration.
On a lighter note, yesterday morn, washed the truch, put on the crome rims.
Ran it down the free way to dry it off. Stopped at the drive in window for a cup of coffee.
The kid doesn't get the lid tight, splash coffee with cream all over my door.*&%$$#
What looks light a reflection is a flat spot you can feel.
You can see the profile in the B&W, second lobe is flat top

03-11-2014 04:33 PM glad to see this picture
cleaned, oiled, all plugs and on the stand.
This thing is a lint magnet, can't believe how much stuff
is on it already.
Got a couple issues with the brake job, got to step away for a while.
I'll be throwing things if not.
Tomorrow I'll gap rings and build pistons.
Buddy was over, we're standing by the car, a yellow jacket flew right into a crack
between the front door and the fire wall.
I suppose when I fire this thing up, I'm in for a surprise. I hosed it down with raid
stinks now.

The brake job is a little behind schedule you might say.
Found a leak yesterday and another today.
Hope for better luck tomorrow.
Did get the shop cleaned up and the block out there,
ready to clean. Shure would like to get all these parts out of the living room.
Tired of looking at them, and getting tired of this project.
Motor cycles can be done in a couple months. More my speed.
Twice the wheels and 4 times the cylinders.
