11-04-2004 01:52 PM cowl hood.......
Thought that I would try something a little different on my week off. I had thrown a quick paint job on my winter beater S-10 Blazer. I had some sheet metal left over from another project and a spare hood, so...why not, make a scoop.

Decided to pop rivet the scoop on, avoid warpage...........and I wasn't really too energetic as it is just my winter beater/. Turned out to be somewhat of a mistake, as they are popping. I should have welded the corners for extra strength.............know better next time.

This project was done 14 years ago.........Boy, I need a new project.

Picked up the truck here in town for $250. An older guy had it and wasn't able to do anything with it, so decided to sell it. It had no motor or tranny, the body was rough and needed everthing.

I decided to use a Nova clip, partly because a complete Nova was available to me at my price (free).......A word of advise.....measure, measure, measure...........This was the most nervewracking part of the project, but it worked out perfectly.

also, used a Chevy driveline. I am a Chevy guy at heart.

The 1st time I painted the truck, I had a couple of my freinds try their hands at a flame job. It was a 1st for them too.....worked out well.
