Decided it was time to start back on my truck, got my wheels powdercoated and mounted and started doing some bodywork on the doors. Had to fabricate all the guts for the doors,, mini bear claw latches, window crank setup and door openers as the Murray bodied Fords were all wood inside and not metal like a regular Ford.

Well they were polished screens made for the inside and after a bit of modifying the carbs they are on and they seem to look good even better once I polish the 4-71. Have to say a big thanks to my buddy Hienz for doing them, a beautiful piece of work!

We cut the identical pieces slowly scared to death of us screwing up and wasting four days of machining but it worked out quite well, the saw was barely moving and they seemed to turn out alright.

The stacks both had to be made of the same piece of aluminum, mainly because it was all I could find, so either end was machined the same. When finished it was covered with tape to prevent damage as we put it into the saw to cut it.

Wanted a set of Velocity Stacks like the ones from Vintage Speed to fit on my blower carbs. Looked all over but I couldn't find ant to fit my 3" carb throats they were all for the 2 5/8's. Asked my buddy Hienz from our car club if he thought he could do it and he said to get some aluminum and away he would go. Started with a tube 5/8's thick by 4 12" dia. and 16 inches long and the rest was history.
