Just finished patching the back of the cab up and cut the metal for the floor. Made a cover for the transmission and screwed it in. Ready to mount the seats next.

04-01-2007 09:21 PM Windshield Frame
Got a window frame from a buddy from a 31 Model A, Was thinking that I had to modify it since my truck is built from a 1929 Briggs Fordor. Believe it or not the mounting holes were even the same and it just bolted right in.

04-01-2007 09:04 PM Clutch and Brakes
Made the bracket for my clutch and brakes> I'm going to mount them both on the firewall, sick and tired with screwing around with residual valves and all the other problems with the master under the floor. Wanted to go with power brakes but no room, I'll switch to electric if I can't stop. Using a old Chevy master for the clutch slave, want the old steel look.

04-01-2007 08:56 PM Steering Box Install
I'm using a covair box to keep with the old school theme. I reversed it and had to do some stupid screwing around to make it fit because of the close proximity to the header port and the firewall. I didn't want any universal in the steering column so it took a bit longer to get it right. Made my own column out of a piece of stainless and a couple of bearings and have a quick release on the steering so getting in is a breeze,> Got the parts for the rebuild on the box from Clark's, but I steel need another bearing and they didn't have it in Stock. Does anyone know where I could find this?

03-05-2007 07:00 PM Rust Removal part 3
Plugged in the battery charger and within 10 minutes you could start seeing some bubbles being produced around the steel bars and from the center. I let the piece sit overnight in the solution and pulled it out the next day. I was pretty clean, 20 seconds with a stainless hand brush and I was ready for self etching primer. I think I'm going to try to make a larger container and try to do some larger pieces.
