As you can see from the pictures most of the small "fiddly" areas around body lines/sills/body edges are still to finish.
The simple reason for that is Richards time [5 days on the Island] is better spent smoothing the large areas leaving all the "fiddly" bits n bobs for me to sort out later.

It is difficult to judge how much more time is left in the body prep stage but Richard estimates another long weekend should see the car ready for filler primer.
More time than I expected, BUT I have to say I could not be more impressed with the work that has been undertaken on the body so far. May it continue SOON.

Richard has spent 5 good days on the car now and the straightness and fit of the panels on both sides are now excellent.
I have spent most of the time on the trunk and wing joints but even though I do say so myself they flow well and fit great too.

Front fenders taking shape, along with the drivers side door [steering wheel on the wrong side for you US readers]
The trunk, although a reasonable fit to start with does not flow well between wing and trunk lid [joint low]. But after the edges were built up previously with kitty hair, keyed, body filled then sanded the transformation is very pleasing.
The previous statement goes for the fitting of the doors too.

Friday 18th July day 1 of 5.
Richard Bruton arrives to undertake some serious body work on the Willys.
All the edges around the doors, trunk and hood were keyed up ready for some "Kitty hair" fibreglass filler. Low areas were also built up with the same.
Kitty hair is stronger and much less prone to shrinkage and cracking therefore ideal for the job.
Body filler was applied over, then long bed sanded to the desired shape. Joints between the panels were carefully sanded to a 3mm clearence.
