Another month on. Most of the small jobs are now complete BUT because they are as follows no pictures were taken-
Extra fibreglassing strength added to the hood joint/hinge areas/exhaust cut outs on rear apron/windscreen-cowel area/front and rear inner wing supports.
Blending in of the headlights to the wings are also underway.
Hood operation and general fit/latch has taken up many hours too.

Apologies to all for the lack of Nikons finest but to keep the enthusiasm going a pic of what I am trying to achieve is attached
just for Will

Following on
Pic 1 After welding and much sanding the outcome is very effective even if I do say so myself
Pic 2 A close look and you can see that this pic has the BMW Mini outer perspex cover in place
Pic 3 shows the frontal pic of the modified Willys.

Fathers Day here in the UK
So an excellent excuse for a day in the garage yes?

Headlight bowls-
Pic 1 Headlights are 7" sealed beam type with Landrover indicators below.
Pic 2 The area around the headlight and indicator could be painted to match the body OR painted black. But I want the area to be as one ie as though the whole headlight indicator is a complete unit not separates. So steel bowls will have to be fabricated to slot in over the area. These will then be chromed.
I started with the shapes cut out as seen in pic 2
Pic 3 With the parts placed into position it was time to spark up the welder.

Remote brake reservoir - This is needed to comply with UK SVA laws. Basically the reservoir must be of clear construction to allow easy level checking AND there must be a safety float switch incorporated with a warning light indication on the dash. note plumbing to complete after modfied master cylinder lid comes back from machine shop.

Heater - The blower motor/heater came out of a Rascal van. After some modification to make the unit even smaller the unit fits neatly under the dash and should give adequate demisting.

Column - The aluminium front has arrived back from welding and now, along with the whole column, requires some much needed attention.
