With the door closed the final dash design, in my opinion, looks Bees knees.
Now the fun starts making a mirror perfect copy for the passenger side

Unfortunately due to the dust whilst filling and sanding the doors I did not take any pics of the finishing process.
To finish the door I cut the panel out of 6mm ply ready for upholstering at a later date.

With all the foam and timber removed from the rear of the glass, the general shape is acceptable. The next step is to start on the Driver side door. Slight changes were made to the design to allow the door handle [Rover 800 series] to look right + a returning edge on the glass to be used as the grab handle when closing the door.

The following pics are taken just after the final matting has been laid up on the nearside. Tomorrow I will mark up and cut the join and then rough sand the glass ready for the next phase.
Later next week the card/lagging etc will be removed from behind

After 24hours curing time the dash/door joint is marked on the glass and then cut through.
Now that we have the offside firmly glassed into position, the whole process can now be copied onto the nearside.
