After covering the card and foam lagging with packaging tape on the offside [this stops the resin sticking] the dash is now ready for fibreglassing.
2 layers of medium mat was lthen aid over the area and left to cure

Custom dash.
As I favour the modern style along the Foose/Coddington design, I want the interior to curve and flow in contrast with the Willys body. After some picture searching on the net, a rough drawing was made of how I wanted the dash and door tops to look.
Using card instant grip glue and water pipe lagging, the dash began to take shape

Back to the graft after the xmas test runs.
Windscreen, door glass and rear glasses need to be ordered asap, as the manufactures are U.K. mainland based and a six week turnaround is needed for the order. I will be sailing over to the mainland in late March, so it makes sense to pick up the finished glass at that time.
With the door glass runners installed and lined with felt a template of the glass is made from 5mm mdf.
After I am happy with the running of the template in the runners a mechanism is constructed to hold and guide the temp up and down without any binding.
Citreon Xantia donated its electric window motors complete with the cables. These were fitted to the fabricated mechanism as shown in the pics. Unfortunately one of the [used] motors I have is faulty otherwise I would have been able to complete both doors
