After a little cutting, filing, sanding and polishing one of the trim rings is ready for chrome.

Finally a chrome trim is needed to finish the job off.
5mm ali was machine cut to shape and stepped on the inside to fit neatly over the lens.
These have just arrived back from my machine man.
I first bent them over to fit the contour of the wing, then laid them in place to check for fit and look.
Although they do fit they are too fat so my next job will be to cut the od and id untill I am happy. The outer edge will then be radiused, ready for polishing and chroming.

For added safety high level LED brake lights are also intalled behind the rear windows

Step three, Holes were cut into the wings at the desired position for the tubes to slot through. Tubes were then bonded into place ready for the wings to be fibreglass repaired.
The light clusters were mounted into metal tins which were slightly larger id than the s/steel tubes allowing the lights to be simply held in place at the rear by a jubilee clip!
The outer polycarbonate lens was cut out, bonded in and held together with two self tappers until all bonding was cured.
With all connected the effect is just what I was looking for. Not too large not too small, with the correct "E" markings for U.K. laws.
