I know I haven't kept this journal up to date. Frankly, it was easier to make my own website.I sold the model and and the T bucket a bought a Factory Five Racing '33 hot rod kit.

Here's the website to follow that build:

I also took on a '55 Thunderbird restoration project. That website is here:

Had to make up my own throttle/TV/TPS bracket. Took a bit of thinking, but I think it came out ok and it works good.

Got it running pretty good so I got it our for a test drive.

Oh and BTW, traded the Mustang for a '28 Tudor. Happened real quick, guy was looking for a muscle car and he liked the Stang a lot. Very nice car, big block 454, MII front suspension, ladder bar rear suspension. Goes like snot too!

I was kind of treating this whole intake change as a big experiment. If it didn't work, I could jut buy another truck intake and put it back on. I was hoping the stock computer would work even though the intake chage might effect a lot of the inputs like the volumetric efficiency and thottle position calibration. After several attempts at tweeking an modifing things, I could not get it to run right with the stock computer.

As a last resrt, I once again hacked more parts from the blower motor and stole the Megasquirt computer. After a few modifications and reprogram for the 302, I temporarily mounted it and it fired up. Should have used the Megasquirt to begin with.

Heres it running on the Megasquirt. Much better.

I made up my own wire looms using a $10 set of 2 piece ignition wire clamps. I took some aluminum strip, cut, bent drilled holes and mounted the clamps to them.

I also put the body back on so I could finalize the wiring. I like the new look, even though I like the blower motor better This is still way better than the old truck intake.
