Earlier this week some of the other Hot Wheels designers and I went over to George Barris shop in North Hollywood for a tour of the shop. Awesome time, tons of great stories, great people over there and, of course awesome cars to check out. Here's a pic of him admiring my car. It felt good to have the King check out my ride.

after a year of driving this thing I finally got around to having a rear sway bar installed. long overdue. very happy with the results. I had my buddy Will over at Sakowski motors help out with this one. He and his crew set it up for me, as I'm not set up to weld. I also had them make the trunk pan while it was there.

I got the car back form the paint shop just before the new year and they fixed the hood to perfect and beyond! Straight from the top and underside, it's awesome! Must not have been that bad, etc..
I took it on a cruise on New Years day with Larry Wood. Pics can be seen here:

The car will also be featured on an online website

I apologize to all of you who have been following this journal. It's been since last June since I've made an entry. Ok, to anyone who doesn't know- I made it to Tulsa! I was putting the car together all the way up until the last minute, literally. We left on Wed, June 13th form LA around 1:30 pm. I was still wrenching on the car after 12 that day. (needed time to shower, pack, etc) we hit the local pep boys for floor mats and a cup holder tray and we were on our way. We drove through the night and arrived in Tulsa on Thursday, June 14th, around 4:30 pm. We checked into our hotel and then headed over to the site where the other car was buried under ground for 50 years. On Friday we watched them lift it from the ground, and the evening's official unveiling. On Saturday we attended the car show and headed back Sunday. We met a lot of great people on the trip and had barely any breakdowns. On the way out my truck latch loosened and had to be adjusted to close the trunk at about 1am. On the way home a fuel line popped off, but snapped back on (lovely GM quick connect fittings). Attached are a few pics.
