10-11-2011 07:30 AM More Firewall Work
The coil was positioned making sure the new valve cover will clear. The holes were drilled and rivet nuts were installed.

The AC unit was removed and boxed as was the distributor and coil.

10-11-2011 07:26 AM Tear Down and Firewall Work
Tear down continues. There were a couple of issues to address on the firewall once the front sheet metal was off the car.

The bulkhead connector for the HVAC unit was positioned and the holes were drilled.

10-08-2011 10:11 PM Driveway, Swap Meet, Tear Down
Last Saturday I made the trip to Claremore for the swap meet. Saw some neat stuff but came home empty handed.

Sealed the driveway. 6000 sq. ft. Don't think I will ever do that again!

Started tearing the car apart. Boxing and labeling.

Off on Monday so I should get some more tear down done.

Next weekend is Chickasha. Unlike Claremore, I will have photos to post of that.

09-24-2011 06:46 PM Kick Panel Retainer
About six years ago, I replaced the bottom half of the toe board on the passenger's side. In doing so, I had to remove the kick panel retainer.

Finding it and installing it was on my to-do list for today. I found it. It wasn't in as good a shape as I remembered. About three inches were missing including one of the tabs. I thought about fixing it, but decided to build a new one.

After today's work, it is time to take it all apart and put it on the rotisserie.

09-24-2011 06:39 PM Seat Belt Mount & Spare Tire Mount
Put the back seat in. Sat in it and located the retractor. Cleaned two spots on the underside of the package shelf and drilled the holes. Done! All the seat belt mounts are in the car.

Put in the mini-spare and determined the location for the mount. Got it welded in.

I need to find a hot rod friendly scissors jack from a late car that will fit in the spare tire. (just in case)
