I spent the last week and weekend getting the Convertible road ready. Still a few more things to do but it's almost there.
New tires, brakes, hoses, and a thorough cleaning.
It was kind of nice to work on something, take it apart, get it back together and drive it. Working on the Coupe for weeks and months with no end in sight can burn you out. Now I can cruise but still keep my interest level up on the coupe with the goal in mind of taking it to the same cruises when it's done.
I also found out that they do in fact offer a short and long wheel well trim for my coupe. I got the short version when I was supposed to get the long one. I'm not to happy with my supplier right now. It's not the first time he's given me the wrong part and I find out after it's installed. But I think I finally learned if I have any doubt what so ever, do not mount anything until all questions are answered. I came close to not installing them and asking again, but I was told when I bought them they were shorter than OEM pieces, and OEM was not available. Turns out that's not exactly correct wording on his part.
So now I have to remove them and hope the new longer ones match up to the holes I drilled.

Got the bumper installed, installed the wheel well molding. I'm not crazy about the results of that. Hopefully once the tires and rocker panel chrome are on it'll look better.
Turns out the repo's on the wheel well chrome are not as long as OEM, there is supposed to be a new one coming out, but I've been hearing that for a year now.
I took a little break from the coupe and worked on the convertible some, finally got it fired after tinkering a bit, drove it around the neighborhood, first time in 15 years she's been out.
So now I'm bouncing back and forth some, trying to get the vert ready for cruise-ins and keep the coupe moving forward.
I was supposed to start installing the coupe headliner last weekend, hopefully I can get started this week, never done that before be I'm also getting used to saying that too.

I got my new bumper in, started assembling it with a new tag light and reworked brackets. Hopefully this week I can "try" to fit it on. Seems everything takes at least two or three fittings before it's on for good.
I pulled some interior parts out to start on them. I'm going to try and re-use the original interior. It's in good shape and I think that adds something to an old restored car to say it has it's original interior. I did get new headliner, firewall insulation and new carpet is coming. But door panels I hope to use and the seats are good except the padding and one inner panel. Not sure how well replacing padding under 40 year old seat covers will work. I also have to decide on installing a fold down rear seat option I've had for years.
The next biggy though is the engine. I have to start on it while I work on the interior. I like having multiple projects as one feeds into the next and keeps things moving forward.

More of the door and quarter glass. I installed the door seals, they fit pretty good, had to drill the excess paint from the pin holes or they would have broke going in.
The flat black on the quarter is something the body shop did I wasn't crazy about, but it gets covered with the interior panel anyway. Originally it was body color. Oh well.
The upper window tracks have been a pain to clean, 40 years of glued on weatherstrip and 25 year old overspray from the last repaint. They're fairly clean now so I can polish them and install with new weatherstripping.

After a nice break and vacation I got back into the garage. I ended up getting new better quality door handles that fit without issues.
I also installed my refurbished tracks and regulators, window glass and quarter glass. Everything moves pretty good. Installed the louvers in the quarter and new window felt. Although I need to trim one side a bit. Seems nothing fits perfect on these things.
