Here it is put together, it's rough right now, I'll need to go back and clean it up, then make the "collar" part and the center piece.
I took it for a test drive and it seems to be strong enough.

I'm also thinking of putting 2 more pcs of round stock on the bottom spoke as well, balance it out a little. Then each will have 5.

I started designing the wheel in autocad. I ran into some problems.. it's easier to draw than build. Here's the start, but i ended up in a different direction as you will see.

I only used the very center part of the old steering wheel, then just welded all the round stock to that. The metal will then screw into the grip from the backside.

I decided to turn two steering wheels into one good one. I've been using this red steering wheel for a while now on the Stude. The other wheel has a decent grip, which appears to be wood. I want to try to make a banjo type steering wheel.

Finally got the m.c. in. It works ok. Needs a little more bleading before it's perfect. I located the resevoir under the seat for now.. until I get a better looking one to put under the hood, something other than plastic.

Since my M.C. was leaking, I decided to get the remote fill M.C. instead of just replacing the one I had. I got this one off ebay. Now I can patch the hole in the floor, which will be nice.
