06-03-2010 01:39 AM Diff re-build
Well finally the bucket turned up nearly two months to get it past customs. Now starts the big job of finishing it. I have picked a color Sherwood Metallic green started with the diff just to see what it looks like.
Applied gasket seal and bolted the half shafts tubes to the diff head.

What a hassle, been in our new country for a month and still no T-Bucket. Customs has put a stop on the delivery they want more money than what I actually paid for the items. So I guess you only have to be honest when it suits them. The shipping company has revalued everything at new prices. Chassis $2000.00 it only cost me $250 in materials and so on, duty went from a few hundred to quite a few thousand. Glad I'm not paying the bill.
It pays to get a written quote. I'm hoping to see it turn up next week. Then I can start again with the cert in Australia and hopefully finish it so I can drive it.

All parts cleaned and laid out for the moving company to come in and pack. We are not aloud to pack these ourselves or the insurance may not cove the items.

Strip down complete, wire brushed, cleaned chassis and steel primed all raw steel. Needs to be clean and dust free to get past customs.

02-28-2010 12:21 AM Rolling Chassis
Rolling chassis finally after many years, perfection takes time far from perfect at the moment. After getting this far I need to change countries moving from New Zealand to Australia decided to take the T-Bucket with me so I guess back to the drawing board with inspections and many more changes to get it registered in Australia hopefully not to many. This will put me back a few months as I need to strip it down to parts once again for the move.
