Picked up an 8 ½" limited slip diff for one dollar on the internet what a bonus.
Stripped it down, removed the crown and pinion and installed it into the first diff head I built way back. Replaced all the bearings and seals.
Got the ½ tubes polished installed them to ensure the bearing were not overloaded.
All looking good have sent out brake calliper parts for polishing.

Requested to put shear rings into the diff head to support the S/Steel 1/2 shaft tubes. These now have 6 x 3/8 bolts one locater pin & the shear ring. I guess it's better to be safe.

Using two 1" by 1" S/Steel angle pieces for the mounting brackets, welded these on after I welded two ½" nuts to the inside. The tank is nearly ready to be cleaned and polished should come out looking very nice.

Welded in a plate to support the pump plate many tapped holes to ensure it won't leak.
Made the top plate welded the pump bracket to this. Spent 6 dollars on the brass tails and fitted this to the plate. Used a stainless steel screw to run the sensor wire through and glued the wire in. Still needs a breather added.

Manufactured a couple of baffles tig welded them in and welded the end back on again. Checked that the tank fitted in the tray. Cut a square hole in the top for the fuel pump and sensor to go. Welded a dairy castellated nut for the filling nozzle.
