Brake callipers are back from the electroplaters. Re-taped all the threads to ensure there were no loose materials that could go inside the callipers. Wire brushed the inside also to remove loose nickel. Cleaned and oiled all the inside parts refitted the piston seal after oiling, fitted the piston and outer dust seal.

Welded together away from the car then left to cool down for a couple of hours. Fitted back onto the axle all looking much better will drill the holes when the clevis fastening arrives.

Assembled the clamps onto the axle then made sure the wings were square and level to the ground using a level clamped to a peace of steel. Tack welded in place making sure all chrome was covered.

Four bar front bat wings just didn't look right; also it was to close to the ground so back to the drawing board. Decide to use clevis type coupling so need to make a single plate design from 10mm steel plate. Bent a couple of peaces of 40 x 10mm plate steel for the clamps around the axle. Then fabricated the wings from 10mm plate.

Got the spring back from the electroplaters was told to put a strip of nylon between each leaf to stop it from binding. The nylon is 1.5mm thick the thinest I could get, should work fine.
