Alright, I had to take a lot of time off due to work and just laziness. But finally, after over a year, I am ready to do something with the Nova. A few weeks ago I got the motor out and I want to get it ready to paint. I really want to clean up the engine bay to get that painted as well. As you can see there is a lot of work to be done. Most importantly I want to know what I can do about those holes that I have. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Thanks a lotl.
Alright, it's been quite some time since my last post. But here is what I did.
1. I took off the old exhaust manifolds and put on some Holley Flow Tech headers. I have come to understand that they're not good headers, but they were free.
2. I took out the smog pump and all of the smog equipment.
Other than that I have just been cleaning up some wires. Doing what I can without spending any actual money. It's not that I don't have the money, I just want to do what I can to save. I have about 4000 - 5000 to put into the car so it should come along pretty good. I'm not too sure as to what I want to do to the motor for now. Maybe leave it pretty stock for a while until I get the body straight.
I know that it's not looking too good now. But I have been working on it a little here and there and the progress is pretty good given my expectations. If anyone has any suggestions for anything just let me know. Send me a message or you can talk to me on aim xstsx63. Thanks.
Just getting started on my Nova. It used to be my daily driver but has been sitting for a couple of years. Broke my heart to see it sitting like that so recently I decided it was time to fix it up. I know it is going to be a slow coming process but it will get there. My goal is to do the motor work first. I'm not too sure what I want to do to it exactly. I have some headers to put on but after that I am kind of lost. Enclosed are some photos of the engine as it is today.
