Got the sheet metal workbench up. It is actually half the landscaper bed that came on the Purple truck. Got a vise, HF planishing hammer, square tubing bender. If the Ratster gets back from the shop where i had some gremlins removed from the electrics, i can start on the hood. Two weeks to the rat rod show.

Got the Art Work for the Ratster. Hope this is not too rude for this journal. The artist's name is Laurie Russell.
Here is her website.

Well, i guessed right, the V-6 will let me use the full hood. I will have to get headers, so i will have to make new hood sides. But...
In these pictures, the front end is way high off the ground. I might have to section the grill shell, but I will worry about that when it gets worrisome.
I think i likes it.

Ok, got the engine, the V-6 off the front sub-frame, cleared all that off, and got the 36 back on the pad.

But i got the steel bodied guitar done and played a gig with it last night. I need to arch the top a little, or else bead roll it to stop the top from warping so much.
And i bought a cheap planishing hammer, and will probably buy the cheapest HF English Wheel. I need to rebuild my workbench, but that will give me enough sheet metal for another project or two.
