Got the steering column out, cut out the body mounts, they were rusted to death. Heater is out. Bottom of the body is all bondo and BS, looks like a screen wire and aluminum flashing job.
Cut off the bumpers, they are in good shape if anybody wants them. A few other things got done. This body is pretty heavy, so i will need a lot of help to tip it up.
After looking at it have not the slightest shame in turning this into a bucket. It was worn out two rebuilds ago. I will try to use no fiberglass or bondo in this, just as a learning experience. I think i can narrow this at least 20 inches and still have room for my big behinder.
Gonna get chilly this week, so that will be a good time to fire up the torch and start hacking

Got this for an Offenhauser Valve cover. Kirk took the engine, i got the rest. Most of it is here, rotted out pretty bad top and bottom.
I have to throw the 301 Buick in here, then get back to the 36 Bobber.
Life sure gets complicated, don't it?
