Got the body mounts in, after a small delay caused by me stupidly leaving a bottom lip on the body that would not go over the body mounts.
Got the TP front end in, no instructions so i will have to bother the Bulletin Board with dumb questions.
Bought a set of body mount biscuits, they showed up.
And picked up the motor, to see where it goes.
This picture shows it too far back.

Was able to re-use the body mounts i cut off the Datsun frame, and a cut down hockey puck in front, old Chevy ones in back. More are coming.
I was surprised, the hockey pucks drilled very easily.
And bolted on a piece of 1 x4 oblong tubing for part of the gas tank mount.
Next, lift off the body, make the engine mounts, grind all the welds top and bottom, then put it all back together and wait for the front and rear ends.

Got the body leveled out, and down where i want it. It will be two inches higher, i think. The lowest point on a mini van in my yard is like Seven inches, and this here is about five inches. This looks a little lower than i like.
Here is also a picture of the rear body mount mount. I know some people weld the body to the frame, but i think i need some vibration dampening.
This is a street car, i hope. I see no reason to make a car for Muroc Lake, and then try to drive it around town.
And it's a little far from here, in any case.

Down in the Frame. Wondering if i want to fit an oval rear window on this.. The window frame is pretty rotted.
And i am planning to put a visor over the windshield.
The front end won't be here for a week or more, and i have lots of room. Don't know if i want the front wheels all the way out, Picture #1, or back just in front of the grill shell as in Picture #2
The body is back about four inches of where it needs to be.

Lost a couple of grand on this one, but learned a lot.
Lesson one, do it all yourself.
