Got paid for the 47, spent most of the money on a solid axle front end, with disc brakes for the Bobber. (the 36)

It is on the way, i hope.

And cut a few things away to set the front of the cab down to look at it. It is now raining.

But i likes it. I will jump through the hoops and try and get a title for this beast, i might even be able to drive it, if lucky.

Frame turned over, set the body on. Now for some figuring and plotting.

Lots of stuff.. The guy was going to come get the Frankenwagen, then that fell through, and the guy for the 47 was a no show.

Plan "B" in the 47, I will put on brakes, windshield and exhaust and try to sell it for more money.

I found a pedal set from the 47, pretty rusted, but i got the master cylinder off, and cut the clutch lever off.

That's picture #1. Discovered i could get a master from a local parts store half the price the hot rod guys want.

Then ground down and patched the bottom of the Datsun frame for the Real Rod, AKA "The Bobber"

And commissioned an artist to make me a Bomber Art Babe for the Ratster.

That would be Laurie Russel, here.

Sent the 65 Ford off. they changed the plugs and points and it ran like a top.. Made a very few bucks on that one.

And got some primer on the front third of the frame for the 36.

08-30-2008 01:52 PM Grindage
Here are two of the cars that are supposed to go away this weekend.

And ground away on the top of the frame, flipped it over and started on the bottom. Got a rusted place, probably where the muffler used to be. No biggie.

I need to get some paint on this. It rusts as fast as i grind it. Someday i need a garage.
