got the brackets and stuff cut off the frame, now to grind it and primer. I need to figure out some way to turn it over and do the bottom.

I want to keep the rear axle on there until i get the other in October.

Sold the 65 Ford and the Frankenwagen today, so if i actually get paid, i will have enough to buy the front end.

I think my best plan is to mount the body and mock up the grill and hood and then mount the motor to those dimensions.

I am thinking full hood and grill, a sort of Highboy thing, with the grill set way behind the front wheels.

Today started cutting the front end and brackets off of the Real Rod's frame, ran out of O2 after about an hour's work

Here is the youtube video of the Rat 47's first putt about the yard

That was about a month ago.

And here is the listing for the Frankenwagen.

Pressure washed the 301, and sprayed it with high temp paint. All i could get was white, so i used that. I will do the valve covers in the body color, once i decide what that is. This is just to keep the crud down.

And put the ladder and running boards on the Frankenwagen, it's on eBay. I have decided to get a TP front end with discs for the 36. Not chrome. Chrome don't get you home. I hear it makes steel brittle, and i don't like the idea of a "suicide" anything.

I am thinking of yellow frame and a red-orange body. I have to decide on the frame color soon, as i plan to start cutting tomorrow evening, once i make a few guitars.

And last pic, the mock-up wheels on the rear of the 36. I can't get the GMC rear end until October, after the big demo derby at the fair.

Swapped wheels and tires around on the 36, put some 8"'s on the back just to see where to mock up the cab. Forgot to take a picture. Took the old wheels down to Darrell's and dropped them off.

So now i can spend tomorrow cutting the front end off the frame and getting bare rails.

And put some parts on the Frankenwagen so i can sell it, I had the parts, and might as well screw them on.

Running boards to act like rocker panels, and a ladder. I have a roof rack, but i wont put that on probably.

I had an extra ladder, and it will make a neat luggage rack in the Ratster.

Wife Person is jealous of my welding cap.. Says it makes me look like a warty hog, or a Hogwarts or something..
