Well the guy said this engine had a "head problem" but i think he was stretching it. A valve stem broke and smashed a piston.. I know he knew because he had the heads off, no head gaskets, no valve head..
Snookered again..The evidence is plain
Later; got the busted piston out, still wont turn. Also Tony went through the brakes, and we bled them, everything is fine, but they don't work well. Won't hold pressure. Looked at rear cylinders, no leaks. Ordered new master cylinders, pressing on.
Built higher motor mounts, so the oil pan will clear the steering links and sway bar, put a half loop in the rear cross member so the drive shaft will clear, and bolted the transmission mount in.
That was the big hassle, it took all afternoon to drill two holes, i finally got bored with losing, and burned two holes with the torch, then ground them out with one of my sculpture stones. Then had a struggle with the bolts, got the wrong ones, so three trips to the parts store and spent about five dollars. Bought a new ratchet and set of 1/2 drive sockets just to spend some money.
I might put some gussets on the drive shaft half loop. but all that does is hold the parking brake linkage.
So next, rebuild the parking brake, hook up the shifter, have a drive shaft made and figure out the radiator and clutch linkage.
