Plots |
Spent the day cleaning up and trying to develop a plan. Well, five or six plans.
Here is the prop-up on the bondo bucket.. I will put a truck tool box in the back to space the rear hood out to the end of the frame, and use the old Chevy hood for the front. The Mercedes hood sat too high with this radiator, but i think i can bolt it to the bottom of the front hood like this..
And cleaned up the Falcon, sorted parts and screwed on the trim to keep it from getting lost and beat up. It cost more than the rest of the truck..
And took the crank to the machine shop so they can build the long block... All of a sudden i'm not in a real hurry to swap that engine out.. It runs and has a tag on it, the city can't yell at me for that one..

Steps |
Cut the old motor mounts off the rat rod, and put all the model T parts on Ebay.
Darryl is supposed to move the other three projects over here today..

Took a ton of metal to the recyclers to make room for the stuff i have to bring home, then took a 73 Chevy rear end to the auto salvage yard, i have to give up on the "T" project, which is a $35.00 pile of junk.
Then brought home the bad 302 and it's tranny.
Lifted a likely looking tank to use as a frame loop on the rat rod... Motor has to go way down, and i will probably have to use a remote oil filter..
