07-11-2007 02:41 PM Mock Up
Put a seat in with clamps just to see if my feet fit.. All good, got about five inches over my head and room to stretch out my chubby little legs.. Top of cab is about 5' 6" tall from the ground. Cool.

07-10-2007 06:36 PM Much Work, No PIx
Jason adjusted the valves in the Purple thing, and put on a new clutch master cylinder, but forgot the new brake pads, so i still have the loudest brakes in America.. The girl at the bank drive up window hates me..

Also got the 91 Lincoln over to Jason's to pull the 302 for the Faulty Falcon. It was a struggle trying to line up a tow truck and the guy who owned the Lincoln and me all at the same time. Took Two days.. Done.

And Jason found a bit of plastic trim to put around the hole in the hood, to "prevent cut fingers."

07-08-2007 07:15 PM Down On It
Braced up the hinges with 1" square tubing, got a bunch of weld on the front side. Then trimmed them down to allow for the in-curve of the body, and dropped the body right on down.

8" Channel. Now to trim the inside of the doors to allow them to close, rebuild the bottom of the Driver's side door, and make a couple of front cab corners.

I noticed that a couple of the similar period rat rods at the Heavy Rebel Show yesterday had had the bottom eight inches of the doors and body cut off, so they must be real prone to rust.

Supposed to get a 91 Lincoln with a 302 this week, so there is a tiny chance the Futile Falcon might actually progress a little. Right.
