Got the other side of the floor braced, and it looks like i will have to cut out the floor i put in on the other side.. But it will help brace the cab when i get four strong guys and roll it over on its back.
Then i can weld up the bottom of the floor braces and the bottom of the doors, before i get some guys and put this thing on the frame..
Got new wheels and tires today, so that should be the mechanicals done.. I hope.. Now to redo my $18.00 paint job, and fix a few dents, repair some of my klutzy body work..
The truck is low because i have 200 board feet of hardwood in it.. Mostly walnut.
Meanwhile at Jason's, he is actually started on the motor and body mounts. I needed four wheels for the Bondo Bucket, so it got the old ones from the Purplething.. No two of the old ones were the same in any respect..
Dropped of the parts and bought the three gauges for the Roadster. They had a sale on shocks so i bought some for the Rat. That was the last thing that went right today.
Went to buy new wheels and tires for the Purplething, but they won't be in until Thursday.
went home for my work day, all i had to do was to cut out the floor in the '47, weld in three pieces of steel and cut out the floorpan from the Nissan. But the chuck on the Sawzall broke, and the tip on the cutting torch clogged up, so instead i went to stores and bought parts.
But i finally got the floor cut out and chopped up the last of the Nissan.
Cut all the mounts off the Nissan frame and pounded one side of the floorboard in. Welded.
Other side got two pieces of the framework in, and stopped to go bike riding.
If i can get tomorrow off, i can finish up the floorboards and get some help to roll this over and start on the body.
Got the tank out and will take that and one of the plastic seats over to Jason's for the Roadster.. Decided to use the beer keg tank on this disaster, and the Nissan tank for the roadster, as it is supposed to have a rear body.
