Jason got the body and engine in place.. The body has got to go forward a few inches. Then start welding up the mounts. I have to bring over the Toyota parts for inventory.
I case you are losing track, that is the Ford 300 ci six from the '68 pickup.
We will see if the Mercedes hood will fit, or can be made to fit.
Yesterday i sold the two engine blocks, Nissan and 22-R, the Nissan tranny and old Toyota radiator for $85.00. We will call the Rat Rod paid for to this point.. The Bondo Bucket is about $1,500.00 in the hole as of right now.
The other engine block won't be back from the machinists for at least two weeks, so i asked Jason to work on the long forgotten "Bondo Bucket" Roadster. We are going to go with the Ford 300 six in that.
Meanwhile, i tacked in some floorboards cut out of the Nissan into the Rat Rod. Might have to pull these later, but i am trying to make it strong enough to put on some sort of rotisserie, or at least roll it over and work on the bottom and the doors..
Spent 150.00 on steel for the rat rod and a few other projects. Really need a garage, but have to rehab shop and bathroom first. grump.
Jason pulled the spare 250 down, which i got in project #1, the 63 Chevy C-10. It had water in one cylinder when i got it, so it's off to be re-bored, and fitted with pistons. My wallet nerve is tingling as we speak...
Only pic is the pile of steel. Perhaps tomorrow i can attack the 47 cab again..
