03-31-2007 04:22 PM Show Car....Hah!
Well, they let me into the "Strangest Car Show At the Strangest House in the World" Kerner's Folly in Kernersville, NC. Lots of hyperbole in that statement. They had about fifty cars, nothing too strange.. I liked this VW Dragster, turns 11's in the 1/8 mile..

Learned a few things i needed to know, the Frankenwagen got there and back with only minor sphincter spasms. I got one and a half votes in the show, and got this trophy, the one with the busted transmission discs. That was about 20th place.

Then the guy gave me the Horseshoe trophy, said it was the "Good Luck Trophy." I was obviously going to need it. It's going to be the hood ornament next time i fire up the MIG.

Got Jason to come over, and we got the windshield out in a few minutes. He pulled the dash and the entire wiring harness in an hour or so, and so that's done. He says we can put a carb on this motor, so that might have been wasted effort, but maybe we can sell it all..

And i got the dash out, and all the switches. Never could figure out the headlight switch, just cut it off. Then patched the gaping hole, and glass matted over the patch. Maybe it will work.
