Three inches made a big difference. Of course the doors had to get the same treatment in order to fit.

Additional welding was completed to finally finish securing the top. The welds were ground off for the finishing touches of this phase.

When the top and and main body were ready to be rejoined, everything was carefully tacked into place.
It's starting to take shape!

Once we made the cuts, the top was removed. Some metal work needed to be done before the top could be re-attached.

Before we could do any cutting, we welded supports inside the body. This will keep the panels from moving when we remove the top.

A 3" sectioned was measured and marked out for removal. The first cuts all around were made to remove the top. Trevor Biggins (pictured) is Owner & Founder of East Coast Hot Rods and is the brains behind this project.
