All right!. It's been awhile and I need to catch up. Alot of work has been going on with the van, just not a lot of documentation.
I hosted the NW Micro-car show here in Portland last weekend. All my efforts have been going towards the show and not the van.
I had hoped to have this van at the show but it's not ready. Although it drives good. The paint is unfit for my tastes.
This is where I left off.
3 dogs in the van. We hit the river for a celebratory 1st drive!

Now that the van runs, it's time for brakes. Both E-brake cables are missing. This van was last registered in Wa. state in 1979. E- Brake cables on these things are normally siezed from sitting. The inner cable rusts to the outter casing. I had a good used passenger side cable, and had a drivers cable made up.
I had a throttle cable made up, a speedometer cable made, and a choke cable made.
I must really like this car.....?
I had all the shoes relined, cleaned, scraped, and painted backing plates, rebuilt all wheel cylinders, and had aluminun drums bead blasted. New front bearings and seals. ( The seals were extremely hard to find new )

I lucked out, the fuel tank was not full of holes and rusty. A bit of cleaning, 2 fuel filters and swabbing out the carb again. We are good to go. The muffler was broken ( as you may have heard in the video clip ) so I welded it up with some support brackets. They commonly break where the pipe enters the body
