REPAIR ROUGH GROUND

I got the repair area rough ground and planished a bit. There are alot of spots that need stertching and others that need shrinking. The patch helped but not as much as I thought it would.

NEW MOTOR MOUNT

I got one of the new mounts tacked in place and it clears the steering shaft nicely.

MOTOR MOUNT ISSUES

I had the car on the hoist to try and get the steering hooked up to be able to move the car in and out of the garage.

I couldn't get the steering working smoothly with the universal joints req'd to go around the motor mounts so I decided to go right thru it.

I cut into the mount to check the req'd clearance so I could design new ones.

Second pic shows old mount beside the new underslung mounts.

Third pic shows finished mounts.

PATCH WELDED IN

I got the patch panel welded in place.

I had to add a piece at the grill opening as it got all beat up in the "reshaping" process.

Hopefully, this patch work comes out the right shape after some clean up and planishing.

SHRAPNEL CUT OUT AND PATCH READY

I got the mess cut off and the new patch panel set in place.

Hopefully, I can start welding it tomorrow.
