04-13-2014 07:12 AM TRANNY TUNNEL
I made jigs to get the shape of the tunnel parts out of some scrap boards and threaded rods.
I saw this posted by Per, (Metalman Sweden) on another site. Just roll the jig around and mark the shape as you go.

I left an inch extra for bending flanges.

03-23-2014 05:34 PM FIREWALL CON'T
I bent up two new braces and got the bottom plates welded on.
I then bolted them to the firewall temporarily and then bolted the firewall to the cowl.

It was then stiff enough to get back on the rotisserie to continue with the floor.

I cut out the firewall and support braces next.

Next thing was to create an extra 1-1/2 inches of foot room. I cut out both sides of the lower cowl and made fillers that line up with the rocker panels and tacked them in place.

I bent up a new firewall and set it in place for a look.

03-23-2014 05:23 PM ROCKERS CON'T.
I had to add bits to the bottoms of both B pillars before I could tack the new rockers in place.
I then tacked both rockers in and they seem to fit OK.

03-12-2014 12:32 PM ROCKER PANELS
I bent up a couple of new rockers from 18 ga cold rolled sheet and hit them on the shrinker to get them curved.

I then added extensions at the door sill and the bottom. The bottom piece turns down for the pinch weld and the sill extension turns up to plug weld to the inner rocker which will come up higher and support the new floor.
