10-18-2008 03:13 PM Cutting the Fender
Pic 1: This is the passenger side front fender ready to be chopped up.

Pic 2: The pattern set on the fender for marking.
It doesn't fit as well as it did on the driver's side as this fender hasn't been modified. I just turned the pattern from the driver's side inside out to make the panel for this side. I had to rough cut about an 1-1/2" away from where the final cut would be and then trace the pattern to the fender for final trimming.

Pic 3: I traced the pattern to the panel and trimmed the extra.

10-18-2008 03:06 PM Final Touches
Pic 1: This is the panel after wheeling it smooth with the pattern set on top. Any place that the pattern has a space under it is where I have to hit on the shot bag.

Pic 2: This is the "shot bag". Its a $2.00 garage sale leather purse full of sand. The center part of the panel gets stretched on the bag and then smoothed on the wheel.

Pic 3: The panel getting some final smoothing in the wheel.

10-18-2008 03:01 PM Forming a Panel
I had to do the panel for the passenger side fender at the headlight.

Pic 1: This is the stump I use for tuck shrinking the edges of the panel.

Pic 2: This is my homemade baseball bat hammer.

Pic 3: This is the panel after beating on the stump creating tucks and shrinking the edges.

10-13-2008 03:23 AM English Wheel - Finished
The wheel is pretty much done.
Just needs a bolt for the upper wheel and a couple of set screws for the adjuster.
