I also cut out the firewall tubs, to clear the tires, and I cut and dropped the frame horns.

Now time to cut and get rolling. I cut a 2" strip out of the rear of the cab, and cut out the hump to make more room in the small cab. Room for a stereo, or center console, or whatever I want. I also made the cuts in the front of the floor, and sides, and got the body to drop.

Now done with the suspension, I started getting ready to channel the cab. Or, body drop. I built lowered motor mounts, in order to keep a stock hood. I can't stand holes in the hood, looks hacked to me. I also sectioned 1 1/8" off the bottom of the oil pan to keep it off the ground. I lost .4 quarts of oil capacity.

I then added my gas tank mount. Its strong enough to sit on with flex. The whole frame moves with it, so no problems there.

Here is the finished product the next morning. I then finished my full exhaust, which I forgot to mention before. I have a CA smog legal header, 2.25" exhaust, a high flow cat, and a Magnaflow muffler. All within CA smog laws. Also mounted my air tank.
