What a time I had at the Nats. in Sierra Vista, AZ. 150 T-Buckets, every one different. Every body was happy, and having a great time. One day all of the buckets parked on the wooden sidewalked, dirt surfaced main street of "Tombstone" AZ. What a treat that was. There were Poker Runs, Night Cruises, Ladies Cruises, and bunches of T's running around town.

Saturday, we had a two car wide parade through town to the Veterans Memorial Park. There
were all 150+ cars parked in the park, and the parking control people parked my car two, or three spaces away from the other cars. Thought that was strange, but soon realized that other "special" cars had been singled out.

After the normal "Lowest Car", "Longest traveled"," Most natural", type awards. They gave out awards from the sponsors, public safety, and benefiting charities for thier favorite cars. I was surprised, very humbled, and super HAPPY that the "Good Neighbor Alliance" homeless shelter charity, picked my car out of the group!!

This is the custom rear window that came with the top. No more melting, browning, cracking plastic. This is aluminum framed lexan. It comes with a custom made carrying case, and snaps into place in seconds. Life is much easier when you find the GOOD people to help on your projects.

I think that I found a way to keep u-joint grease off of the body underside. A 3-1/2"ID marine exhaust rubber hose stretched tightly over the trans. u-joint. Enclosing the u-joint, and grease. I need a 4"ID piece for the pinion u-joint.
I also had to get another shifter boot, because I ruined the first unit. Glen Kramer kindly attached the boot to the mounting ring, so it would stay together while installing.
I was also impressed by the way the rear window cut-out mimicked the dash curves. The rear window frame is also arched like the curve of the dash oval.

I suspended the painted, and upholstered body 1' above the frame. That way I could hookup the majority of wires, hoses, etc. with some working room. I used cut up rubber baseboard material for the frame runners. Two steel flat washers, and one rubber washer between the frame mounting tabs, and the body. I have quite a few things mounted to the underside of the body. Wiring looms, E-Brake lever, E-Brake cables, throttle cable exit, wire bunch exits, and brake master cyl. access.
I replaced the mounting point carriage bolts, with T-nuts on the topside of the floor. Believe it or not the mounting bolts went in with a minimum amount of hassle. Recessing the E-Brake mechanism into the floor, made for a much better interface with the transmission.

07-02-2007 12:15 AM T-Bucket DONE (for now) Oh! Satisfaction
Well the final product is out in the open air now. Drove this machine about six hundred miles last weekend with only one small problem. The steel 5/16" fuel line from the rear mounted gas tank, was mounted directly to the fuel pump with a double flare. When I originally ran the car, I had to tighten that joint numerous times. Before it quit seeping a small amount of that, Precious Gold, Oil that is, GASOLINE.

When parking at the motel Friday night, I noticed a small puddle under the fuel pump. Tightening the nut had no effect, so I removed the 90deg. fitting at the fuel pump. Planning to dry lap/fit the brass fitting to the steel double flare, I proceeded. After one turn at a light tightness, everything dropped to the ground. Seems the flare must have been cracked previously, causing the leak. Just the flare came off, leaving a squared up end on the line.
So after a short trip provided by a bucket buddy, to the local parts house. I proceeded to install a short section of hose, and a new el fitting to mate the line to the pump.
