Got a non-tilt earlier van column mocked up. feels good to sit in it, but it's going to be like driving through a mail slot.

Here is me and my son test driving.
I had to make all the engine noises hehehehe.

01-06-2009 09:56 AM Sad news
Over thanksgiving week, our entire family went on a cruse to Acapulco.
We've beem planning this for over 1 year, and Mom was really looking forward to going, even though her health had been detererating.

We had a fabulous time on the cruse. Ate myself stoopid and got to much sun......perfect.

Unfortunately, once we got home Mom wasn't feeling very well at all, and she finally said she would like to go to the hospital. I always hoped it was just a little to much travel for her but it turns out one of here tumors ruptured.

Mom passed away on Dec 1. She waited till after the cruse, and after my birthday (Nov 30th) to call it quits after 2 1/2 year battle with cancer.

Rest in peace Mom, I'll love you always
Thom

11-03-2008 10:07 PM '50 chevy time for controls
I've got a great start on controls.
The brake pedel is mounted up and the booster is in place.
So is the go pedel.
The seats are mounted now also.
I've mocked up the steering column using the chunks of the original I have.
My plan is to use a van column, hopefully my neighbor comes throug soon and I'll have a free one.

Onwards and upwards.
Making tin work to cover up the rear suspension and accept the seat
Since I cut up the rear seat pan nicely, all I had to do is skootch it forward.
The seat actually sits in the original location, the backrest is moved forward on the bottom only, reclining it slightly.
